Editorial Policy

Lifestyles by Stella publishes style guidance for women — outfit ideas, hair color, haircuts, hairstyles and nail designs. This policy explains how that content is created, what standards it’s held to, and how to hold me to them.

1. Who writes this site

Every article on Lifestyles by Stella is written and published by Stella Kova, the site’s founder. There is no content team, no outsourced writing, and no AI-generated article text published as if a person wrote it. Where an image has been styled, retouched or created with AI tools, that is disclosed in our Image Credits & Sources Policy.

2. How content is researched and written

  • Reader-first sourcing. Posts begin from a real question a reader has — what to wear, what to ask for, what suits which hair type.
  • Product and ingredient claims are checked against the brand’s own published information and, where relevant, reputable mainstream sources. If a claim can’t be supported, it doesn’t go in.
  • Technique terminology is verified. When a post explains color or cutting terminology, the definitions are checked against professional sources so the words you take to a salon mean what your stylist means.
  • Experience is labeled as experience. Personal opinion is presented as opinion, never as a professional recommendation.

3. Accuracy and corrections

I aim to be accurate, and I make mistakes. If a factual error is identified, I correct it as soon as reasonably possible and note that the article has been updated, with the date. To report an error, email contact@lifestylesbystella.com with the page link and what you believe is wrong. Corrections are published even when they’re unflattering to a brand I’ve worked with.

4. Reviews, recommendations and gifted products

  • Recommendations reflect genuine assessment, not payment. Compensation never determines whether a product is praised.
  • Products received free of charge are labeled as gifted. Receiving a product does not guarantee coverage.
  • Paid partnerships are labeled as sponsored or paid partnership, in a place the reader sees before the promotional content, not buried at the bottom.
  • I do not publish reviews written by a brand, or approval-censored copy. Brands may review a draft for factual accuracy only.
  • Negative findings are disclosed. If a product underperforms, I’ll say so or decline to feature it — never quietly praise it.

5. Editorial independence

Advertisers, affiliates, PR agencies and partners have no influence over what is published, how it’s framed, or which products are recommended. No sponsor has editorial approval over an article’s conclusions. Advertising relationships never determine the site’s coverage of a topic, and I retain the right to decline or remove any collaboration.

6. Images, visuals and AI

Visuals on this site come from original photography, licensed stock libraries, brand-provided assets with permission, or imagery styled, retouched or created with AI and photo-editing tools to illustrate a look, shade, cut or nail design. AI imagery is used for illustration only — it is never presented as a real person’s results or as a customer’s photo. Full detail is in the Image Credits & Sources Policy. If you own an image used here and object to its use, email contact@lifestylesbystella.com and I’ll correct or remove it promptly.

7. What this site is not

Lifestyles by Stella is not a professional consultancy and does not provide personalized styling, hair, color, dermatological or medical advice. Content is general information and inspiration. For anything involving chemical services, scalp conditions, allergies or skin concerns, consult a qualified professional. See the Disclaimer.

8. Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in practice, tools or legal requirements. The current version always lives on this page, with the date shown at the top.
