Disclosure
Lifestyles by Stella is an independent site funded by the content it publishes. This page sets out exactly how that works, and how every commercial relationship is labeled, so you always know what you’re reading.
1. Sponsored content
Sometimes a brand pays for a post. When that happens, the article carries a clear “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership” label at the very top, before any other content, and the label stays there for the life of the post. Sponsorship buys space and production — never a predetermined verdict. I write the article; the brand may check facts and claims only.
2. Gifted products and PR samples
Brands sometimes send products to consider, at no cost to me. When one of those products appears in a post, it’s labeled as gifted. What you should know:
- A gifted product is not guaranteed coverage, and not guaranteed a mention even if it is covered.
- Gifted coverage is never framed as a purchase or as a personal endorsement I paid for.
- Gifted items return no commission, and are still judged the same way as anything bought with my own money.
3. Affiliate links
Posts may contain affiliate links that earn a small commission on qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate posts are disclosed near the top. Full details are on the Affiliate Disclaimer page.
4. Advertising
Display advertising, sponsored placements and affiliate networks may appear on this site. Ad partners are chosen to be relevant to style, hair, beauty and nails. Advertisers have no input into editorial content, and no advertiser receives advance sight of a post.
5. Loans, samples and review copies
Products provided for review, whether kept or returned, are disclosed as gifted or as a review sample. I don’t accept payment for a review, and I don’t accept conditions requiring positive coverage.
6. Images and brand assets
Brand product images used on this site are used with permission or under a brand’s published media-use terms, and are credited to the brand. Where an image is created or edited with AI tools for illustration, that’s disclosed under the Image Credits & Sources Policy.
7. How to spot a disclosure
- “This post contains affiliate links” — a commission may be earned on purchases.
- “Sponsored” / “Paid partnership” — the brand paid for the content.
- “Gifted” / “PR sample” — the product was provided free of charge.
- “Ad” / “Advertisement” — third-party advertising.
8. Our commitment
Disclosures exist so you can weigh what you read with full information — and they’re a condition of working with me, not an afterthought.
