Hi, I’m Stella Kova. This is Lifestyles by Stella — a fashion and styling destination for women who want to look put-together without turning getting dressed into a project.

If you landed here while looking for a quick outfit idea, a haircut you can actually ask a stylist for, a hair color to bring to your next appointment, or nail inspiration worth saving for later — you’re in the right place. I built this site around one simple standard: if an idea looks good on a screen but doesn’t work on a real Tuesday, it doesn’t belong here.

Why I started Lifestyles by Stella

I kept running into the same problem as a reader. Most style content was either too editorial to actually wear, too vague to be useful, or so broad that I’d click for outfit ideas and end up reading about skincare, travel and home decor in the same post.

So I made the opposite choice. Lifestyles by Stella stays strict about what it covers:

  • Outfits — seasonal outfit ideas, occasion looks, and styling formulas that work with what’s already in your closet.
  • Hair color — shades, dimension, technique vocabulary, and how to describe what you want in the chair.
  • Haircuts — shape, length and fringe explained in plain language, with the face-shape and hair-type questions that actually matter.
  • Hairstyles — everyday styling, occasion looks, and simple ways to change the feel of the same haircut.
  • Nails — designs, colors and finishes sorted by season, shape and how much time you have.

How I work

I’m a stylist-obsessed writer, not a licensed professional, and I won’t pretend otherwise. Everything here is researched, compared and written from the reader’s side of the mirror:

  • I write for real situations — workweeks, weddings, school runs, travel, weather, budget.
  • I explain the “why” — why a proportion works, why a shade reads cool or warm, why a cut needs styling time you may not have.
  • I’m honest about trade-offs — maintenance, cost and effort are part of every recommendation.
  • I correct mistakes when I find them, and I disclose every partnership, every gifted product and every affiliate link.
  • Some images on this site are styled or edited with AI or photo-editing tools to illustrate a look, a shade or a design. When an image is AI-created rather than photographed, the policy for that is published in my Image Credits & Sources Policy.
